New Lines SERIES “2015 Extrusion Intelligence BLOW” for the Production of 3-, 5- and 7-layer Technical and Barrier Packaging Film

Film featuring high quality mechanical properties that undergoes subsequent processing by high performance converting lines or in automatic packaging units. Film featuring special characteristics intended for industrial applications (surface protection film, extensible stretch film, etc.). 

The abovementioned special mechanical features are obtained by equipping the extrusion line with automated process control devices to ensure film high and – most of all – steady quality.

Special care shall be paid to winder selection: thorough versatility and extreme accuracy are required, therefore the winder shall be equipped with axially-controlled gap winding system or mixed (axially controlled/contact) configuration.

Reverse winding is extremely important, especially as far as protection film and converting applications are concerned.

Applications in food and medical-pharmacological fields require the film to be technologically sophisticated. Food and medical-pharmacological industry keeps quality and quality steadiness first and top-ranking in supplier selection.

A strict control of all process parameters becomes then essential, starting from polymer treatment control at the hot molten stage. Screw and head geometry is critical to ensure uninterrupted steady processing, with no local overheating due to peaks – or falls – in shear stress values. 

As a standard, process materials easily undergo degradation due to high thermal sensitivity.

The above mentioned factors, automatic thickness control combined with precise and controlled winding, are essential to successfully access this market.
